Information for private fees

Unfortunately and due to the fact that the increase of Medicare rebates for medical consultations,  and other medical services,  is not consistent   with the increase of costs associated with running a medical practice, we have no choice but to modify the way we charge our patients. The Government has recently increased bulk billing incentives. but these payments still don’t cover the full cost of providing high-quality care at this practice.

To continue offering you the time, attention, and services you deserve, we charge a fee for most consultations.

Our reception team can provide more details, including information about fees and rebates.

• We now Privately bill anyone over the age of 16 that does not hold a concession / pension card from Centrelink.
  • All children under 16 years of age that have a Medicare number will be bulk billed, as well as any adult patient that holds a pension / concession card from Centrelink.
• Patients can access the following via Hot Doc:
  • Online bookings
  • Payments can be made for privately billed telehealth consultations
  • Dr Chen’s existing patients can now request regular prescriptions from him
