Thank you for visiting Riverwood Medical, a new medical centre amalgamated from three established local general practices in Riverwood. We aim to provide high quality medical and personal care. Our objective is not only to deal with medical problems but to help our patients improve their health, well-being and enjoyment of life. We are a fully accredited practice located at 221 – 223 Belmore Road, Riverwood.

Riverwood Medical is a family medical practice open six days per week (Monday – Saturday). We operate under an appointment system and will endeavour to cater to walk-ins. Medical services provided are mix billed and allied health professionals will accept all health fund rebates.

The practice offers pathology services daily from 8:00am to 1:00pm. Allied health services include physiotherapy, podiatry, psychology and hearing assessments by Australian Hearing. Reception staff will be able to assist you with appointments for these services.

Riverwood Medical is very proud to announce that has recently become a training facility giving the chance to young doctors to increase their knowledge and skills in different areas of general practice

Our philosophy is to offer a patient centred approach to meet your clinical needs. Privacy is assured in every consultation and interpreting services can be organised when required.

Located in Riverwood, Riverwood Medical was founded by three visionary doctors, Dr Elton Chen, Dr Kypros Koutsoullis and Dr Richard Yip who after a long time working in their own private practices decided to come together as a team. Their vision was to create a Medical Centre in which patients would have a wide range of medical and allied health services available in one place.

They were hoping to have more comfortable facilities, patients would appreciate a new “patient centered” approach and if any of the doctors were away there would always be a doctor available to look after them

Patients in our Centre can enjoy and access modern equipment and a modern environment with new doctors and support staff who are willing to provide excellence in service.

We are open 6 days per week and our operating hours are as follows:

Monday to Friday: from 8:00am to 6:00pm

Saturday: from 8:00am to 1:00pm

We provide a range of allied health services, we can mention here the following:

• Physiotherapy
• Podiatry
• Psychology
• Hearing assessments

Some of our medical services are privately billed and some others are bulk billed and if you have private insurance cover you can use this in order to pay the gap for allied health services, physiotherapy and podiatry for example.
